Instead of making good resolutions, such as exercising or changing your diet, you can simply be grateful at the start of the year. And you can even practice this with apps, diaries, or simply a piece of paper.
They are a real classic at the turn of the year: good resolutions. While we are still ready to hit the ground running in January, our motivation is rapidly declining by February at the latest. But why do we strive for change in the first place instead of simply being grateful for what we have?
Research shows that grateful people are happier, healthier, and even more successful in their careers. That’s reason enough to start the new year not with a fasting program but with a small gratitude challenge. By regularly practicing gratitude, we set ourselves on a positive upward spiral. Because what we think, we feel. What we feel, we radiate, and what we radiate, we attract. So it’s about changing the way we talk to ourselves.
The aim is to focus on the good to influence our thoughts positively. If we concentrate on what is going well, what gives us pleasure, is fun, and helps us move forward, we change our perception and create a new reality. Gratitude helps us appreciate what we have and face life’s challenges with more serenity. The best thing about it is that gratitude is purely a matter of practice. Anyone can learn it.

As the New Year dawns, it may be filled with new hopes, aspirations, and opportunities. Embrace the possibilities and make the most of the fresh start. Happy New Year to everyone!
